Where are the museums of Florence and how to reach them
In this map you will find highlighted the most important museums of Florence and the main monuments of the city.
The historic center of Florence is a particularly intimate area. Distances are mostly walkable. The central railway station of Santa Maria Novella is also located in the city center about 600 meters from Piazza del Duomo.
The museums of Florence are located within the city's ZTL. Some of these, like the Uffizi Gallery and the museums of Palazzo Pitti, are even located in a strictly pedestrian area, accessible only to a few public transport and taxis.
For those who do not have difficulty walking, we therefore recommend walking between one museum and another. For those who for various reasons cannot walk or prefer to travel by vehicle, the taxi is certainly the most appropriate way to reach museums. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the minibuses that make city routes even in pedestrian areas.
